Local company scoops major health and safety award

Tubes Scaffolding Ltd based near Bungay in Suffolk won 'Gold' for
Best Contractor in the UK - recognising their contribution to a safer
working environment at the 2008 British Sugar National Safety Award
ceremony on Tuesday 7th October

This award identifies a significant achievement by Tubes Scaffolding
a member of the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation with
sixty employees operating across the UK, who place health and
safety at the forefront of their operations.

The message given to guests at the awards was that Tubes Scaffolding
have visibly demonstrated through training and process initiatives a
company constantly building on health and safety, supporting the ethos
of British Sugar working to achieve a zero incident working environment.

The trophy was presented by Nick Limbrick, British Sugar UK to
Mick Jones, Lee Cobb and Debbie Farman of Tubes Scaffolding at
Holmewood Hall, Peterborough.

In addition Tubes Scaffolding have been allocated £1500 to donate to
the charity of their choice - they have chosen East Anglian Childrens
Hospice (EACH) and MacMillan Nurses.
