..Tubes loses the cup but wins the day |
Tubes Scaffolding from Bungay, Suffolk held their first Charity Fun Day on May 15th at Bungay Football Club.
The day was well attended with over 200 people arriving with anticipation to watch the Charity Football Match. Tubes unfortunately didn’t win the cup but they did put up a great effort. Throughout the day there were various activities to keep the youngsters happy and the BBQ, cream teas and raffle were a great success.
All the footballers who took part were sponsored and the total raised throughout the day was £1,527 which has been divided between the company’s two nominated charities.
Headway Norfolk & Waveney a Brain Injury Charity that helps people and their families recover from the effects of brain injury or other brain damage such as strokes.
McMillan Cancer Support helps and offers support for people who are worried, diagnosed or are living with cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.
David Farman and Keith Sillett of Tubes Scaffolding Ltd presented cheques to Luke Wheeler of Macmillan Cancer Support and Gerry Crowther of Headway at Headway House in Norwich on Tuesday 15th June 2010. Both charities received a cheque to the value of £763.50.
