Tubes take part in the Lord Mayor's Procession - Saturday 11th July 2009
Thousands of people flocked to the centre of Norwich to witness the Lord Mayor's Procession on Saturday.
The grey skies brightened and the rain held off, helping to create an event to remember. Children waved flags and adults young and old gathered with friends and families to watch.
The parade was a testament to community spirit and the efforts of so many community groups, schools and businesses who had come together to put on a spectacular show and help make the event a success. Twenty-one walking groups and 43 floats took part.
Tubes Scaffolding entered a float for the first time. The lorry had been prepared the day before by Karl and Paul - a big thanks to them both.
On the day six of our scaffolders voluntered to take part on the float. Also the girls from the office were on hand to distribute balloons and collect money for the choosen charity, and Neil was our careful driver.
Thanks go to Daniel Page, Andy Cook, Ian, Paul and Des Bargewell, Keith and Anne Sillett, Teresa, Debbie, Alex and Georgia Farman, Helen Farrar, Clare Loughrey and Justine and Maria for all their help.
We'll be back next year.... |
